I decided to branch out and make something that was both different, and for a member of my family. After some conversation and searching on Thingiverse, I decided to make this fake, totally nonfunctional cosplay blaster, the kind used by Rey in “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” for my daughter Macy. I had to go out and spend about eleven dollars on the metric-sized machine screws, but that was about it.

This was a lot of fun to make, my daughter loved it, and it cleansed the palate to allow me to get back to working on some other projects I have going.
