A while ago I started the solo wargame/narrative campaign Space Station Zero, and while the initial set-up and the first encounter were easy and fun, I ran smack into a wall with the second encounter. The reason? The encounter called for eighteen deranged medical robots, plus three surgical beds. The beds were pretty easy–turns out I had just the file from a kickstarter a while back. But the idea of either buying or printing and then painting eighteen robots for a single encounter seemed like a waste of time and possibly money. That problem just took the wind right out of my sails.
But I really want to finish what I started so I decided to go the “pog” route and just printed out on my computer printer (the paper one) eighteen pictures of a Necron Flayer and then decoupaged them onto some wooden disks. It will not make for a great action photo, but it will move things along.
Ideally I will get the encounter played soon and get a recap wit photos posted here. Thanks for reading!
