After a gap of a few weeks, my Dungeons & Dragons group got back together to continue the character arc of Nyenda, a tortle monk and one of the PC’s who is seeking his missing people.
The path has led from a shipwreck to the far off city of Zunah, which is plagued by the Blight, which includes a flock of what are called Scrimshaw Gargoyles. The gargoyles are magical constructs composed of whale bones covered with ornate carving who seem to murder people with no real purpose.

Without getting too much into a detailed recap, the players were able to solve a mystery by deciphering clues, and confronted the supernatural mastermind, an ogre mage.

All of which got the heroes a vital clue, the origin of the tortle artifact in Nyenda’s possession: an island called the Isle of Fear!
