Druid wildshapes

Honey badger, wolf
Rat, puma, bald eagle

One of the PC’s in my game is a druid who specializes in shapeshifting into animals, and has started using the ability pretty frequently. He will often turn into a small rodent and explore whole areas in advance to provide reconnaissance intel for the party. Huge amounts of plot elements were revealed far in advance as a result. Some mind lament that, but I am a big believer in player skill being the real story of the game, not whatever “plot” of which I conceive.

So I have painted up a bunch of animals from the Reaper Bones line. Some are familiars, other just beasts. Of course, I made sure there was a rodent in there.

These guys are small and maybe it feels like cheating when I use them towards the count, but since the really complicated ones also just count as one, I feel like it evens out.

That gets my total up to 37, which ties 2013, the last year I was active on this blog (and switched to graphpapergames.blogspot.com) until 2018 when I came back here. Then heading back to the other, then finally back here to stay in 2020. Those were messy years, including the pandemic, but full of hobby activity of all kinds.

As always, more to come….
