Sadhbh Redux

I have painted a version of this miniature before to serve as the PC mini for one of the players in my D&D campaign, but unfortunately as is so often the case with finely detailed resin miniatures, it broke, and not even by being particularly mishandled. If you look at the ankles, you can see where there could be a problem.

My first time I painted her with a white long-sleeved shirt and corset (see below). This time I combined the sleeves with the vest to make a leather jacket, and tried to focus more on the smaller details of the miniature.

It is interesting how you can vary the look with these kinds of outfits. I like the first and second one, although the second looks more “outdoorsy” or autumnal than the first.

I will say that I am bummed out about miniatures breaking, as I said it seems to happen a lot with the finer models. Some designers do build their a bit chunkier or even bump the scale up a bit to add more heft and volume, but it is definitely a downside to resin printing.

Up to 52 for the year. I have a couple other PC minis to do soon, and a few other odds and ends which will likely get me to my goal by the end of August.
