I’ve been thinking of avoiding resolutions this year, but Malfred over at Pokeminis got me inspired.
- To endeavor to create content-rich blogging. I want to cut back on rambling, low-content posts (like this one) and instead try to make sure that the reader comes away from each post with something: a picture, some free game content, etc.
- To take up the “Frugal Gaming” standard that Dave dropped over at A Year of Frugal Gaming. I was given almost a hundred miniatures for Christmas, plus I have shelves of more that are unpainted. Let’s see how long that lasts me.
- To get my n52 number up to “2.” Last year I painted 57 miniatures, about one a week. So if there are 52 weeks in a year, my n52 number is “1.” I’d like to keep it above one, perhaps even up to two. Two miniatures a week seems pretty reasonable. In case you’re wondering where “n52” came from, I just make it up.
Okay, that’s it for pledges. Next time, pics.
#1 is a dangerous road to not posting. Don’t forget that you are the content. Holding back a post because you’re waiting for a picture is fine if it’s held back for a day. Not posting for months because you just don’t have time to write some huge review is a bad place to be.
So you’re saying my daily rambles that I’d otherwise put into a forum thread inspired you to cut back on posts? I hope not!
I have all of 12 readers of my blog 😉 At least officially.
No, no. Initially I had considered not having any resolutions at all, but yours got me thinking about some reasonable resolutions that wouldn’t necessarily pose a burden, but would instead encourage me to be a good hobby-related blogger.
