I decided I needed about a dozen of these guys which will constantly be recycled in Operation Last Train sessions, spawning as they are eliminated. Thus, these fine fellows will be the last of the lot of an even dozen. Unfortunately, I ran out of the pink paint I was using for the earlier ones, and weirdly enough there appears to be some difficulty getting craft paint around here as the hobby stores’ shelves were practically bare. As a result, I had to make do, and these guys may just be a little off-shade of their siblings.
But they are done, the weird little goons, and are ready to begin terrorizing the planet Helos just in time for the 100 volunteers to show up on a mission.
I almost forgot: I’m up to 58 miniatures for the year, beating my record in 2009. I threw myself into painting miniatures from 2010 to 2012 for a variety of reasons, one of which was to paint up the Brazen Claws Space Marine army so I’d have something to use at the local gaming store. In those totals, however, I counted vehicles as ten points, meaning those numbers are a bit inflated. Back in 2012 I wondered if I wasn’t cheating a bit to look better than I was, and I still don’t have an answer.
