If you have been reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series (and if you haven’t, you should. There’s a reason the series is blowing up big time) then you know that there’s a mythical centipede named Scolopendra in the books, one that appears to be a very significant one as the end of the series approaches.

What you may not know is that Scolopendra is the name of the genus of centipedes that are large, fast moving, and aggressively carnivorous. So when the time came to paint up the Giant Centipedes from the Dungeon Dwellers Kickstarter, I decided to look their for inspiration. While not an exact match, I do love how they vary from the typical “green bug” look I have tended to go with in the past.

And, two more miniatures closer to my goal, and two decent monsters for low-level D&D encounters.
